
Dr. Jennifer Wilczek
DoctorDr. Jennifer Wilczek was born and raised in Prince George. After graduating from Duchess Park, she began her post-secondary education at UNBC before transferring to UBC to complete her Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences. She went on to study Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. After graduating with her Doctorate in Optometry she returned home to Prince George and joined the eye care team at Parker Optometry where she now owns and runs the practice.
Dr. Wilczek is extremely knowledgeable and comfortable discussing every eye concern from your child’s first eye exam to contact lenses, laser vision correction as well as the various diseases that affect the eyes including diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. In 2011, Dr. Wilczek even published a research paper that featured a NIKE product used to measure visual performance skills in athletes.
Dr. Wilczek keeps busy serving the community as a trustee for the Prince George Library as well as by contributing at her church. She has also done some eye care education for the Diabetes group and the community through CKPG news.
In her spare time, Dr. Wilczek enjoys travelling, exploring different countries, and experiencing other cultures. She particularly enjoys snorkeling and discovering the colourful fish, coral and plant life under the sea. In the past, Dr. Wilczek coached the Prince George Barracudas and the Prince George Pisces Swim Teams.
