Why prescription safety glasses?

Unlike most glasses, prescription safety glasses are impact resistant and resilient enough to make the rounds in industrial and commercial settings. They’ll provide a clear field of vision without risk to your everyday frames and lenses, and most importantly, they’ll protect your eyes from damage that could result in pain, injury, vision impairment, and even loss of vision.

All of our lenses and frames are CSA approved and certified and several of them are also ANSI certified. If you’re looking for someone that meets specific requirements, our eyewear consultants can help.

Eyesafe BC

At Parker Optometry, we work with Eyesafe BC, a program administered by the British Columbia Association of Optometrists, to provide employers and their workers with custom-fit, CSA certified safety glasses that take into account your daily tasks, eye health, and prescription needs.

If you’re working with Eyesafe, you get the benefit of their online administration, consolidated invoices, and system for special authorizations and exemptions, but we can and do still work with employers and individuals directly for prescription safety glasses. We’re here for whichever system will be easier and more comfortable for you.
